Texas Federal Crimes Defense AttorneyCriminal justice in the federal court system tends to be short on compassion and long on punishment. It is also fairly complicated. Contact us if you would like to talk about your case with an experienced attorney. At Bristol Myers & Associates, P.C., we represent people here in the Austin area and throughout the state of Texas who have been charged with federal crimes of ALL types. While we do handle all types of federal crimes, one thing we do not do is represent people who are interested solely in "snitching" on other people in order to save themselves. We do not take this view out of some strange allegiance to lawbreakers; we take this stance because it is inherently dangerous for the "snitch" and because in all honesty, the government does not always honor their part of the deals they make in exchange for cooperation. We would also like to add a few words concerning asset forfeitures. In many white collar, drug, and criminal conspiracy cases, the government will attempt to seize the assets of defendants. They are however required to notify defendants of the forfeiture. What is important to know is that an asset forfeiture notice must be responded to in a fairly short amount of time if you hope to avoid the seizure of bank accounts, vehicles, and other assets. If you have received such a notice, do not wait to consult with a lawyer.
